THE RECAP OF A BIBLICALLY INSPIRED PROJECT TO BUILD SOMETHING

The 52 Day Project is a call to action toward taking the next steps in realizing those dreams you feel spiritually impressed to do. The name is inspired by the timeframe it took to rebuild the city walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah (See Holy Bible: Nehemiah Chapter 2) received favor to oversee this task which he along with the remnant of Judah completed this effort in 52 days.

A little about the journey and the outcome.

Seven individuals signed up to get one task done. A Facebook group page was created to have a place to share thoughts and receive motivation from each other. Two groups, the tech, and wellness group respectively, were established based on task or goal that they wanted to complete. With the tech group, most wanted help with their blog and getting their social media set up. With the wellness group, I responded to their goals by providing tips and everyday strategies for being consistent with their wellness routine. One project member in the wellness was able to complete a long overdue goal by writing a comprehensive list of her health goals, both physical and emotional. Her task excited the other members of the group which prompted me to create a template for those who seek to improve their wellness.

Below is a testimonial from one member.

As a participant of the 52 Day Challenge, every session that I left with Lori Butler, I was enriched, empowered, and encouraged. She is very consistent, methodical, and very well organized. I felt equipped to embrace my IT, she always provided a different lens to view my ideas and fresh perspective. She motivated me to organize my classroom, creating an environment for my students to reach their fullest potential.
